Alma del Café Excelso

Antioquia | Colombia

Our Jardin Excelso is the smaller-beaned sibling to our Alma del Café produced in Jardin, Colombia. It is therefore similarly delicately fruited in taste, with dominant flavors of chocolate and caramel. Slightly less intense than the Alma del Café, this Excelso is nonetheless clean and straightforward, and adaptable to many different roasting styles and levels of development.

Alma del Café Supremo

Antioquia | Colombia

Sourced from the best farms in the Antioquia region, our Jardin Alma de Café is milled and prepared for export at our own mill in Jardin Colombia. We oversee the same exacting processing systems as we undertake in our Nariño mill and control the end quality of every bag of Alma de Café. This coffee is clean and sweet, with a softened acidity and medium body. Flavors of cocoa and caramel mingle with hints of tropical fruit.

Finca El Botón

Various Regions | Colombia

Finca el Botón is part of La Minita's Jardín mill quality program where producers are paid a per pound premium for exceptionally picked and processed coffees. El Botón produces the large-beaned Maragogipe variety and experiments with other processing methods such as natural coffees.  Finca El Boton exhibits notes of cherry-chocolate, malt, and walnut.

Finca La Meseta

Various Regions | Colombia

Finca La Meseta is a small farm on the outskirts of Jardín, Colombia. The farm utilizes rasied beds and a warehouse where the coffee in parchment can dry evenly under cover. Finca la Meseta is part of La Minita's Jardín mill quality program where producers are paid a per pound premium for exceptionally picked and processed coffees.  Finca La Meseta is balanced with pleasant chocolate, orange, and vanilla notes.

Finca La Orizaba

Antioquia | Colombia

Felix Galan has been delivering his coffee to La Minita's Jardin mill since 2008 and only recently have we begun the process of keeping his deliveries separate to sell as single farm coffee. The unique west-facing location of Finca Orizaba in the Andes micro-region of Jardin gives this coffee a different cup profile from other Andes coffees showcasing extra orange citrus notes and a honeyed sweetness.

Jardin Farm Direct Microlots

Various Regions | Colombia

In 2015 La Minita introduced a Direct purchase program.  We buy coffees from specific farms that we have targeted as producing superior coffees.  The coffees are brought into our trilladora, Empresas de Jardin and kept segregated throughout the process.  Empresas de Jardin was built in 2008 with state of the art equipment.

Reserva del Patron

Nariño | Colombia

This coffee is drawn from the finest Colombian plantations in the department of Nariño, the country’s southernmost province. We select only those coffees from high altitude farms that grow the Borbon and Caturra varieties and then process those to our exacting standards.  The extra-large Supremo-size beans are sorted out for this trademark and sold as our “Proprietor’s Reserve.”

Resguardo Indígena de Cristianía

Jardín | Colombia

This is a new 2018 offering from La Minita's mill in Jardín, Antioquia. This coffee comes from 138 members of the Emberá-chamí tribe living in Jardín who grouped together to form a coffee farming association. They recently installed covered solar dryers at over half their farms to improve the drying process. Our RIC exhibits complex notes of berries, cherry, and chocolate.
